A sad reality of modern animation pipelines is that most production work does little to grow your skill set beyond basic fundamentals. If you want to grow as an artist you'll probably find the most opportunity for growth in your personal work or self driven education.

@henningsanden Maybe in L.A but absolutely not my experience,or anyone I've talked to about wages in the industry within Europe or the UK, which is a fair few now.

@Dekren IF you haven't learned Substance painter Dylan, give that a shot. Game changer once you get a basic understanding of it. All you need to know then is where to plug them into your shader. If you're using Arnold, I'm sure I can help ya out if ya need it.

@nftfreaks Seems like a strange distinction to feel the need to have a debate about. It's digital yes, but it's also just art. Wood carving is art, but you wouldn't stop someone and say, excuse me, it's wood art, not art.
