To be fair, he has made some terrible rookie mistakes aswell. In China 07 pit entry was one, that cost him the WC. In 21 starting on the wrong tire in Hungary lost him the race. So he also didnt help his cause. I dont want us to grasp at straws here, but 2021 was also about a shift to a gen z audience and the fact they broke the rules/regulations is why it was so evident. Even this year, when he was in 2nd close to Antonelli, a penalty every race, and they even admitted they got it wrong. Now? no penalties. He never used to get penalties.
