@bigballerbett @paulvozzella1 @FanSided Minor setback for a major comeback

Quick reminder of how dominant New England's defense can be next year. The Patriots signed the highest sought-after defensive free agent Milton Williams.

His power and athleticism will be on full display in Mike Vrabel's one-gap defensive scheme.

[Ian Rapoport @RapSheet]

The #Patriots and No. 4 pick LT Will Campbell have agreed to terms on his four-year, $43.66M fully guaranteed rookie contract with a $28.39M signing bonus and Campbell has signed it.

The deal was done @ErikBurkhardt and @flamp76 of @RocNationSports.

Seems like Stefon Diggs looks ready to go for the start of the season based on what reporters said today.

Also wanna bud in late on the “Diggs may get cut” ordeal. There’s a 0% chance the best offensive player on our roster gets cut before the season even starts.

It may not be this week, it may not be this month, it may not be this YEAR… but just know this man is going to be running this division for a very long time

[Andrew Callahan @_AndrewCallahan]

The #Patriots fell in love with him. I spent the past 2 weeks finding out why.

This is a story about Louisiana destiny, and the forces that pushed a man further than fate.

53-man roster

[Mike Reiss @MikeReiss]

Patriots undrafted free-agent contract note: WR Efton Chism III has a deal that includes a $234,000 guarantee in base salary, in addition to a $25,000 signing bonus, per sources.

Patriots had competition to land the Eastern Washington standout.

A shifty slot to keep an eye on.

TreVeyon Henderson 🔜

[Kalshi Football @KalshiFB]

Greatest RB for each team.

[PaulTalksPatriots @PaulTalksPats]

Putting “way-too-early” in front of “2026 mock draft” doesn’t validate how pointless it is.

We don’t have any clue who is going to declare and whose stock is going to rise and fall next season.

The only thing it’s good for is predicting an NFL teams’ record based on pick slot.

[Mike Reiss @MikeReiss]

The Patriots released the following players today:

C Jake Andrews
DL Marcus Harris
WR JaQuae Jackson
LB Titus Leo
S Mark Perry
TE/FB Giovanni Ricci

[PaulTalksPatriots @PaulTalksPats]

I’m very confused by everyone who is predicting Baker to make the roster over Boutte.

Boutte produced more than Baker, who couldn’t even learn the playbook well enough to see the field. He was in the headlines less, is more versatile and is YOUNGER.

[Mike Renner @mikerenner_]

Firm “A” grade from me.

Arguably the largest single offseason talent increase I’ve ever seen a franchise have in my 13 years of doing this (not counting adding QBs)

[PaulTalksPatriots @PaulTalksPats]

This is a boatload for a UDFA. I need to watch his film but he’s an early name to pay attention to.

This is an early indicator for more roster turnover under Vrabel and Co.

[Justin M @JustinM_NFL]

The New England Patriots are signing Boston College IOL Jack Conley to a deal with $110,000 in guarantees, per source.

[PaulTalksPatriots @PaulTalksPats]

And just like that, Vrabel presumably completes the clean sweep on last year’s captains.

[Mike Reiss @MikeReiss]

The Patriots select Vanderbilt long snapper Julian Ashby with their seventh-round pick (No. 251).

🏈 6-foot-1, 231 pounds

🏈 Recently visited him in Tennessee for a private workout

🏈Competition for Joe Cardona, the team's longest-tenured player.

[PaulTalksPatriots @PaulTalksPats]

It just keeps getting better

[Mike Reiss @MikeReiss]

The Patriots have selected Miami kicker Andres Borregales with their sixth-round pick (No. 182).

🏈 Four-year starter

🏈 2024 stats: 18/19 FGs (long of 56), 62/62 PATs

🏈 Joins Parker Romo on Patriots' roster at kicker

🏈 5-foot-11, 202 pounds

[Football Analysis @FBallAnalysisYT]

There is no draft I like more through 5 rounds than the New England Patriots

[PaulTalksPatriots @PaulTalksPats]

Patriots are getting as many chances to throw mud at the wall to see what sticks. After checking off most, if not all, of the major necessities in the draft, I like the approach.

[Mike Reiss @MikeReiss]

Morning after Day 2 thought: A lot of people set the standards high for the Patriots, asking for 4-5 starters.

Three rounds in, I am very confident that they have added 4 already. I’ve watched extensive film on all of the new Patriots and they all show plenty of promise.
