You know that moment when you're walking home from your work's Christmas party and you think that you're not that drunk and then you high five a holly bush and it really hurts. I'm at that point right now.
@TimBonvilleGinn Lamenting the loss of the brown shorts. Very happy with the new name in the sadistic way that only someone who trained himself to say Intermarché–Wanty–Gobert Matériaux for the entire of 2022 can be.
We're looking for an intern!

@SYPScotland
@BenjiNaesen Not anybody's Plan A, but a fair enough outcome for all parties. Astana get a totem to build around, Cav and Bol don't get forced into early retirement. Looking forward to seeing what happens.
@andyindk @CostaCoconuts You mean you don't have the layout of your fridge committed to memory? I'd be reaching for lime pickle in mine. I suspect in yours you'd be reaching for one of mum's collection of forgotten drink cans.
@MThysens@reardupeloton I was fairly neutral and wasn't surprised. The "problem" is that this course suited his punchy style. A week 3 with high mountains would have favoured him less. He's good and continuing to improve. Right now people are saying new Merckx but I'm seeing new Valverde (Still praise!)
@MThysens@reardupeloton Maybe he can. QS will have Jan Hirt next year too. I think that Remco *should* go to the Tour, but I don't see him as a nailed-on podium. A Vuelta win over Mas (who is great - don't get me wrong) is not in the same league as going toe to toe with Pog or Jonas (and their support)
@MThysens@reardupeloton He did well in the Vuelta but he didn't dominate the high mountains the way Pog and Jonas do. Remco's time gained came from solo attacks on the medium mountains and ITT. That won't work against riders like Pog and Jonas and I don't see superdomestiques to equal Kuss, McNulty etc
@paizo As someone who just started getting into Star and Pathfinder, I'm so glad you guys are putting out these compilations.
(And in hardback too! 😄 ... The pocket edition of Runelords hurt my old man eyes...)
@Michael_De_Pauw @BenjiNaesen I'll admit, I may be underestimating McNulty. His performance has been great. It would be interesting to see him GC lead a 1-week race
I think that Yates just has a name that carries more weight. A team might chase Yates just because he is Yates. He's excellent Jumbo bait.
@Michael_De_Pauw @BenjiNaesen Absolutely. The only scenario where I don't see him putting in work would be if he gets away (gaining enough time to take the GC lead) or if they start sending him after stages.
Even with poor 3 week results, I see Yates as more threatening than the likes of Bennett or McNulty.
