See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children and that is what we are! The people of this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know Him. 1 John 3:1
“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

✝️ EVANGELHO DO DIA - 17/06/2026
Mt 6,1-6.16-18
— Glória a Vós, Senhor.
Daily Promise From God
When you walk through the fires of adversity, you will not be burned.
Isaiah 43:2 (WEB)
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned,
and flame will not scorch you.
I took this photo when my wife and I visited New Zealand many years ago. These volcanic geysers continuously release boiling water onto the Earth's surface, making it a truly amazing sight to behold. In reality, no one could walk through these gushing waters without getting burned.
Yet in this Bible verse, God says that even if we walk through fire, we will not be burned. When I reflect on this promise, I do not think of crossing literal waters or fires, but rather the raging waters and fires of adversity that we all encounter in life.
The NLT Bible refers to it as 'the fire of oppression' that we sometimes face. I find great comfort in knowing that God promises to be with us as we endure our trials and that, ultimately, these trials will not overcome us.
One day, when Jesus comes back or we go home to be with Him, we will be in a place where there is no more pain or suffering. However, in this life, we will still experience hardships simply because we live in a fallen world. The next time you face a challenging experience, remember God's promise to be with you in the midst of the trial.
My prayer is that the flames of adversity do not consume you as you pass through them. May you remain safe in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91), no matter what life throws at you!
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
- Romans 8:1-2 (NKJV)
Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
