White Canadian kid kind of passed out at Rona and his Sikh Canadian kid coworker was taking such care of him - helping him out. I didn't want to be a weirdo and take videos, but that scene really warmed my heart. Reminded me that the racist crap on this platform is just crap.
Surrey star @EesherSarai, a commit to @WinthropBSB, recently became the first turbaned Sikh player to reach NCAA DI basketball.
Parents, @randeepssarai & @SarbjeetSarai, reflected on his journey.
Eesher says his Sikh identity & the stories of Sikh warriors from his father shaped his mindset on the court.

I’m excited to announce that I am seeking re-election as School Trustee for SD73 in the October 17, 2026 election.
Serving the community that raised me has been an honour. I remain committed to collaboration, responsible governance, and putting students and educators first.
The Komagata Maru tragedy is one of the darkest chapters in our history — a moment where Canada failed to uphold our values, with horrific consequences.
Today, we honour the memory of all the passengers, their descendants, and their communities who suffered:

Before headlines called him a gangster, many Punjabi youth in BC saw Bindy Johal differently—someone who stood up to racism when Punjabi kids were bullied and treated like outsiders. To some, a criminal. To others, the first Punjabi who refused to bow to racists.
Repeat history
To all Sikh New Yorkers: Happy Khalsa Sajna Diwas and Vaisakhi!
This joyous holiday commemorates the founding of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh ji, a defining moment that established the Sikh identity and its call to serve humanity selflessly, protect the religious rights of all, and stand against political oppression, tyranny, & discrimination.
May we all carry forward the spirit of Vaisakhi as we work together to build a city rooted in freedom and belonging for all.
18-year-old man, Jimmy Gassner, has been charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Birinder Singh, a 23-year-old international student from India. Singh was shot on Highway 2 near Leduc while driving on March 14.
Friends describe Singh as kind and hardworking, with no known conflicts. His family and the Sikh community are calling for the RCMP to investigate the possibility of a hate crime. Gassner was arrested in Saskatchewan and is being transported to Alberta to await his first court appearance.
2 Sikhs murdered in what seem to be hate crimes over the weekend in Canada. Have not seen a damned thing about it from politicians on X. A Jewish school gets shot at when no one is around, the politicians fall over themselves condemning hate. Jewish schools shouldn't be shot at, but Sikhs shouldn't be murdered and then have nothing said about it.
I see these murders as directly related to the hatred spewed by people such as @KirkLubimov , @DanielBordmanOG , @Dallas_Brodie , @WaliRuchi , @Martyupnorth , and others.
And actually what the fuck is any Sikh on X doing blowing past this crime spree targeting their own community?
