The largest team chess tournament in the nation finished with 128 schools competing with over 1000 high school chess players. The Steelmen finish 40th in the state. The Steelmen lost three fought games to the number 7, 12th and 18th ranked teams.

The Steelmen bounce back with another strong performance equaling their win total from last year with a 4-2 record but this year’s Steelmen have one game left! Finished round six with a dominant win over Wheaton North 51-17. Steelmen are focused! Stay tuned.... @SteelmenAP
