How a dog's life can change in just 24 hours. She ate so hungrily, we have no idea when she was last fed. All we care about is her being safe with us, and she will now blossom with love.
Thank you for your support of our work as we saved another 30 lives last week.
Imagine this being your whole world... a short chain, constant hunger, and no hope.
This beautiful boy is now safe, warm, and free. He will never again know the pain of being chained or left to starve.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated. Your kindness makes rescues like this possible.
Without your support, dogs cannot be saved from places like this house of horror.
House of horrors! They are all safe now., but this gives you an idea of how mentally hard our work is and the reality of where they have come from. The mum is so sweet, but all the dogs are eating like savages - we have no idea when they were last fed! Thank you to rhose who have donated as we have huge vet and food bills for the 30 dogs we took.

House of horror!
Please... we need your help!
Today has been one of the hardest days we have faced in many years.
A desperate plea for help led us to a home near Iaศi, where around 300 animals were living in unimaginable conditions both inside the house and on chains outside.
We were sent this video by our rescuer, but we want you to know the story which led to this, because this situation wasn't built from cruelty, it grew from a compassion that became impossible to carry.
Years ago, one man opened his heart to animals that no one else wanted. He couldn't turn away. One rescue became ten. Ten became seventy. We last donated food for him in 2018, but never dreamt this would happen. The abandoned animals kept coming, and eventually the numbers became overwhelming.
No one person could cope with hundreds of lives.
Today isn't about judging him. Or the people that dumped their unwanted pets with him. Or the authorities for not stopping this sooner.
It's about saving the animals who have no voice.
Working alongside our incredible local rescuers, and with the amazing help of Zoo Taxi International, we answered the emergency call. Melisa somehow found room in our quarantine area for a few dogs.
Yet we knew we couldn't leave them behind and we now have the impossible number of 30 animals on the way to the Sanctuary.
They've finally had food and fresh water. They're exhausted, confused, covered in fleas, and every one of them needs urgent veterinary care. We also face the costs of transport, fuel, and deep cleaning the transport.
If you can help us please do!

This evening, 30 animals are travelling towards safety in our care.
An ongoing local rescue Asociatia Save our Paws is working on placing the rest of the animals, with rescues across stepping up to take a few each. Or they will be taken to tje public shelter.
The dogs have been initially assessed today and de flea and tick treatments bought for all of them. Some of the dohs have serious ear infections, 2 are pregnant, many with fur and skin problems. Some still untouchable and one aggressive.
With a massive thanks to everyone who donated, because we have huge vet bills! The dogs have had rest today and all have been eating - as though they never ate before.
This is one of the smaller ones. Untouchable for now. The whole experience must be so confusing and scary for them all. Thanks to you, we can help them.

A mum who gave birth on a chain, and her 3 puppies, removed from the owners and now safe in our care. Never to be caged or chained again.
This is rescue.
Preventing unwanted births, one animal at a time.
Let's see how many people appreciate/ like our summer of neutering. The only way to reduce the stray dog and cat populations in Romania and Ukraine.
Never exciting posts, but as our campaign in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine continues, one animal at a time, we are so incredibly proud of Irina and her brave team who continue to neuter in such difficult circumstances.
Adoptions are like using a teaspoon to empty the ocean. Neutering is the only solution to the stray animal population.
Unwanted, unloved. An old soul who came so close to losing her life simply because no one wanted her anymore.
Today, she is safe in our care. We refused to let her be euthanised and now this beautiful old girl has the second chance she so desperately deserves.
She may be grey around the muzzle, but she still has so much love to give. Now it's our turn to show her the kindness, comfort, and love she's been missing for far too long.
Our two newest little rescue pups arrived with their mum feeling scared and unsure of the world.
Seeing them begin to relax, play, and trust is one of the most rewarding parts of rescue.
They are being socialised in the foster home and garden in Romania, where they are living with cats, adults, children, and larger dogs, helping them grow into happy, confident puppies.
These gorgeous pups are still too young to be available for adoption just yet.
The joy of rescue is watching frightened little souls become happy, playful puppies.
Rescued only 6 days ago, she is one of the lucky strays. We need your help so that we can keep feeding and providing tick treatments to every stray.
Please help us and donate:

Probably the happiest video you will see all day, and a huge thank you to everyone who donates, and mafe this possible.
The dogs of Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, face unimaginable challenges living on the front line, especially in the relentless summer heat.
Thanks to your kindness, the paddling pools have finally arrived - and just look at those happy faces! Seeing these beautiful dogs splash, play, and enjoy a moment of pure joy means everything.
Thank you for giving them comfort, happiness, and a chance to simply be dogs. We could watch this video all night. ๐๐
Some friendships are simply meant to be.
When Robbie arrived, he was one of the most skeletal dogs ever rescued, having spent so long chained up and neglected. Today, he's almost unrecognisable.
Lyalya, our last remaining Ukrainian dog at the sanctuary, has become his shadow. An unlikely pair, these two are now completely inseparable.
From sunrise to sunset, they race, wrestle, chase each other, and play without a care in the world. Watching them experience the freedom, love, and joy they were both denied for so long is everything we could have hoped for.
Paws2Rescue. When saving dogs doesn't mean living in a cage.
She asked to be saved, and she was, now safe in our care...
"She followed us all the way home, so I gave her some food and a NexGard tablet because she was covered in ticks. Her mammary glands are still very enlarged, and I was told she gave birth recently somewhere nearby, but nobody knows what happened to her puppies. Many people say that one of the neighbors may have killed them, and now she wanders the streets looking sad, hungry, and alone."
Our little miracle, Rut, continues to amaze us every single day.
She now goes outside when she needs the bathroom, and best of all - she has feeling in her feet! She isn't walking yet, but every bit of progress fills our hearts with hope.
We are forever grateful to Melisa for her incredible care, dedication, and life-changing therapy. Please keep praying for our precious Rut. We truly believe her miracle is still unfolding.
Update on Rut. The vet has checked her legs and she has feeling in both legs, and she has a high chance of walking again. We won't know alot more yet as she needs cage rest at the vet for a week.
From being rescued dragging her legs along the ground, to see her stand on all 4 legs (the end of the video) is already a miracle for us all.
Thank you all for your incredible support, and the donations which helps to cover her surgery and vet stay.
An older lady made contact because the dog she rescued from the streets needed eye surgery, and she had no money. Our Paws2Rescue vets operated and she is now in recovery. We will send her home with some bags of food too. Paws2Rescue, always happy to help the community, and this darling girl deserves to live a pain free life too.
