If Threads launched creator payouts similar to X, would it overtake X?
Short answer: user numbers and creators would jump. That still wouldn’t mean a full win.
Threads is already at 500 million monthly users. Mobile daily users have at times beaten X. Ads are live. What’s missing is paying creators. Meta’s usual playbook is: grow the audience, sell ads, then share revenue. Once that last step lands, mid-tier creators will post more, and the content supply will get thicker.
But X doesn’t live on headcount. It lives on: what just happened, journalists and politicians, live argument, and the web. You can’t buy that with payouts.
The more likely outcome isn’t one killing the other:
Threads wins scale, lifestyle, and brand-friendly creators.
X keeps the public square and the news cycle.
Money can recruit creators. It can’t recruit an entire news industry’s working habits.
Payouts are an accelerator, not the final.
En 2013, este hombre le suplicó a todo el mundo que comprara Bitcoin.
«Te sugiero que cojas 1$, compres algunos Bitcoins y los guardes en una billetera. Es solo 1$».
@NostalgicHubb The woman’s bust is indeed very prominent; this corresponds to the Belgian model Rose Bertram, who was rumored to have been with him from 2023 to 2025.
