Just got around to watching the Bulls doc. My favorite part was Reinsdorf claiming he went behind his Krause’s back to tell Pippen not to sign the extension because it wasn’t a good deal for the player. Riiight. You think he offered that advice to Eloy, Moncada, Robert?
@phillipshoops I wouldn’t even call it a dark side; If he’s publicly rooting for the veterans to leave—the same ones who we’re committed enough to stay upon “Coach” Rick’s arrival—I can’t imagine what he’s saying behind closed doors. Enough’s enough! #FireCoachRick
@SBN_Ricky Not to play spoiler for anyone but this is going to end poorly for the Leathernecks. He’s run far better teams straight into the ground. Exhibit A:
@cubsvineline I'd like to thank @GaryCohenVL for taking a chance on me, the talented contributing writers who constantly enhanced our publication, and—most notably—the loyal subscribers who continued to show interest in the magazine. Thank you.
It was a fun run, but as the wise Dale Sveum once said, we do these jobs to get fired. I was unfortunately laid off last week following production of the final issue of @cubsvineline.
Theo and Joe are will be together with the Cubs for the 2019 season, but what must change for the team going forward? @pbarnesVL will discuss that tonight on Sports Feed with @Josh_Frydman at 6 PM on @CLTVnews.
Theo said it's great to have that traditional leadoff hitter, but if you don't have it, it's best to just find production there and not try to force a guy into the situation.
Epstein says managers going into the last year of their contract without a renewal on deck is more common in today's game. He still needs to talk to Joe and will discuss it when the time is right.
Javy is one of the guys who has the killer instinct and edge and brings it everyday. He also provides the toughness that teammates like and rally around. Epstein doesn't think he gets enough credit for being a team-first guy.
Epstein said there was a lot to grind through and a lot to be proud of, but thinks there were times from the beginning of the season through 162 they needed to play with a little more sense of urgency and killer instinct.
