OK it's super geeky, but our new Best Practice Manual for managing network outages, supported by @wpduk & @UKPNnews, could prevent £10 million wastage from UK solar farms! We love networks that know how to treat #solar good @energynetworks; https://t.co/zi5StOG5TG
@SebPV@solarcentury Sorry to see you leave Seb, but thank you for the many years translating us through the political storms - that was invaluable for the industry. @thesolartrade wouldn’t have been the same without your invaluable support and contribution. Rest and enjoy your break.
@thesolartrade@Telegraph@BBCNews@Channel4News Wow what a great piece of history discovered in a newspaper article. The STA was incubated in 1975 and born in 1978 - a longer gestation, but an amazing delivery - come along tonight and celebrate #STA40 with young and old 🍺
Today is our 40th Birthday! Since 1978 thousands of hard-working individuals have taken solar from the obscure to the mainstream, clunky to sleek and irrelevant to essential. #STA40 🎂
Really looking forward to our big 40th Birthday bash at City Hall on Thursday night with @tomheapmedia@PollyBillington@sabrodrigues61 @JeremyLeggett & many of you! Here's our official founder Dr Roy Swayne delivering a paper to @royalinstitute in 1994! #STA40
'Pretty much everyone in the energy sector is asking, what IS the Government's energy policy?'. Catch our Director of New Markets @LeonieGreene on @Channel4News last night speaking about Government's lack of a policy framework for renewables (24.27) https://t.co/jqP70o4D67
A great day of Solar education to 9 year old children. This followed an early demonstration at the school with panels and light bulbs. Well done to everyone involved #solar@thesolartrade https://t.co/WdP2ZcMjLw
Yesterday we hosted a class of Year 4 boys from Yardley Court School at Hadlow Solar Park. They are learning about #renewableenergy so we showed them how it all works, while caring for the natural world! #FridayFeeling
#Solar in the UK has been providing 8GW or more for the past seven days, generating 10% of energy in peak evening hours and up to 20% in the mornings. Read the Bloomberg @business analysis here - https://t.co/vL5q3rA8sd
During the past week solar PV generated 533 GWh of electricity. This is a new record for a full week's generation. Five of the seven consecutive days yielded over 75 GWh. This is also a new record.
It's likely that this record will be broken again today. Enjoy the sun!
