Today he is due to play in the fa vase for mulbarton but has decided to not play due to the risk of catching COVID from the opposition who are travelling from a high risk tier 3 area. He is gutted and mulbarton will obviously miss him.
@chris_sutton73@RobbieSavage8@bbc606 just would like to get your opinion about a situation my son Daniel has found himself in today. He has had type 1 diabetes since he was 11 and is now 31. He plays at step 6 and has previously played at kings lynn, dereham and Wisbech.
Unfortunately Daniel has made the hard decision not to play as with his diabetes he feels it is too much of a health risk. COVID is rising fastest in east and east midlands, game shouldn’t be played and travelling out of tier 3 for this level of football is disgraceful.
@LocalNickBowler I have just read fa travel advice for COVID and a grassroots football team from tier 3 shouldn’t travel out of their tier. Mulbarton play amptill from tier 3, how is that allowed?
@bbc5live missing sport especially horse racing and football but I have to say that lockdown has made 5live on a Saturday the best days radio of the week.
@chris_sutton73 that offside has finished me. We work to the exact mm for offside. When the ball is kicked unless there is technology in the ball and boot how do we know to the exact mm when it actually leaves the passers foot. Therefore its basically a guess.
@bbc606@mrjakehumphrey@chris_sutton73 how is that not handball by dele alli. His hand is in an unnatural position just the same as todd cantwell for Norwich last week. VAR is a joke #EVETOT
@bbc606@chris_sutton73 If it hits a forwards hand accidentally then his team scores its disallowed however if it hits a defenders hand accidentally which may have caused the ball to deflect away from a forward who could have had a goal scoring chance it’s not handball. Unfair
