นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งข่าวที่สร้างความยินดีให้กับทั้งแฟนเพ��งและผู้ที่รักในงานศิลปะ เมื่อ คิมนัมจุน หรือ RM ลีดเดอร์วง BTS ได้รับการแต่งตั้งให้ดำรงตำแหน่ง Global Ambassador ของพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติเกาหลี (National Museum of Korea) โดยถือเป็นบุคคลแรกในประวัติศาสตร์ของพิพิธภัณฑ์ที่ได้รับเกียรติในบทบาทดังกล่าว

การประกาศแต่งตั้งมีขึ้นอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อวันที่ 19 มิถุนายนที่ผ่านมา พร้อมกับการเยี่ยมชมพิพิธภัณฑ์ของ RM ร่วมกับ ยูฮงจุน ผู้อำนวยการพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติเกาหลี โดยทั้งคู่ได้เยี่ยมชมนิทรรศการและคอลเลกชันสำคัญของพิพิธภัณฑ์ รวมถึงนิทรรศการพิเศษ Danwon Kim Hong-do: Painting an Era ที่รวบรวมผลงานของ คิมฮงโด จิตรกรเอกแห่งยุคโชซอน ตลอดจนโบราณวัตถุและผลงานศิลปะอันทรงคุณค่าจำนวนมาก

ตลอดหลายปีที่ผ่านมา RM ไม่เพียงได้รับการยอมรับในฐานะศิลปินระดับโลก แต่ยัง���ป็นผู้ที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการสนับสนุนวงการศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม เขาเป็นที่รู้จักในฐานะนักสะสมงานศิลปะและผู้ที่ให้ความสนใจต่อมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของเกาหลีมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ความหลงใหลในประวัติศาสตร์ ศิลปะ และอัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมของประเทศ จึงทำให้บทบาทใหม่นี้สอดคล้องกับตัวตนของเขาเป็นอย่างยิ่ง

จากนี้ไป RM จะทำหน้าที่เป็นตัวแทนในการถ่ายทอดคุณค่าและความงดงามของมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมเกาหลีสู่สายตาผู้คนทั่วโลก พร้อมร่วมสนับสนุนภารกิจของพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติเกาหลีในการเชื่อมโยงอดีตสู่ปัจจุบัน และเชื่อมต่อวัฒนธรรมเกาหลีสู่สังคมโลก เพื่อให้ผู้คนจากหลากหลายประเทศได้มีโอกาสเข้าถึงและเรียนรู้ศิลปะ วัฒนธรรม และประวัติศาสตร์ของเกาหลีมากยิ่งขึ้น

그는 나라 밖 문화유산을 보존·복원하고 활용하는 데 써달라며 2021년과 2022년 두 차례에 걸쳐 국가유산청 산하 국외소재문화유산재단에 1억원씩 기부한 바 있다.

RM has always shown great interest in Korean traditional culture and art, and as an art collector, he has served as a cultural channel for introducing Korean artists abroad. In particular, he has exerted a positive influence, such as by donating 100 million won each on two occasions in 2021 and 2022 to the Foundation for Korean Cultural Heritage Abroad, under the National Heritage Administration, requesting that the funds be used to preserve, restore, and utilize cultural heritage located overseas.
