आदरणीय महामहिम राष्ट्रपति महोदया, मणिपुर में आदिवासी बेटियों के साथ जो अमानवीय दरिंदगी हुई है, उसने मेरे मन को गहरा आघात पहुंचाया है। पिछले एक साल से इस दर्द के बोझ तले दबा हुआ हूं, जिससे मैं चैन की नींद नहीं सो सका हूं। मणिपुर का यह दर्द मेरा अपना दर्द बन गया है, और यह असहनीय हो गया है। महोदया, आपने बंगाल की घटनाओं पर आवाज उठाई, जो सराहनीय है, लेकिन मणिपुर में हमारी आदिवासी बेटियों के साथ जो अमानवीयता और दरिंदगी की गई, उस पर आपकी चुप्पी मुझे अत्यधिक निराश करती है। जब हमारे देश की बेटियों के साथ ऐसा अन्याय होता है, तो एक आदिवासी होने के नाते मेरा हृदय विदीर्ण हो जाता है। क्या उनकी पीड़ा और तकलीफें इतनी नगण्य हैं कि उनके लिए कोई आवाज़ उठाने वाला नहीं? आप देश की प्रथम नागरिक हैं और देशवासियों की अपेक्षाएं आपसे हैं। खासकर उन लोगों की, जो वर्षों से हाशिए पर धकेले गए हैं, जिनकी आवाज़ समाज में बहुत कम सुनाई देती है। मणिपुर की इन आदिवासी बेटियों का जीवन, उनका सम्मान और उनकी सुरक्षा आपकी जिम्मेदारी भी है। आपके इस मौन ने हमें असहाय और पराजित महसूस कराया है। मैं आपके दोगलेपन वाले व्यवहार की कड़ी निन्दा करता हूं धिक्��ार देता हूं। @rashtrapatibhvn
