They would have died with it, but most of them were probably at that age where a bad flu season would have finished them anyway. One virus or another. Meh. Statistics are a wonderful thing when it comes to fear-mongering agendas.

@sydney_ev @DrSallyL We can’t stay locked up. The vaccine has limited effectiveness. The system is as good as it will be. It’s time. Besides, a bed can be in an overflow tent. Basically palliative care. Lots of the good meds. Lots of (potentially unvaxxed) overflow staff. The strong will survive.

@sydney_ev @DrSallyL Good. Then hire more staff, stop firing the vaccine-hesitant, empty the ambulances sooner & start triaging. I’m relatively relaxed about (short-term) limiting intensive care to vaccinated (or contraindicated) under 60-ish so intensive care beds are still available for general use

@sydney_ev Intentionally killing everyone slowly through perpetual CCP-style tyranny isn’t automatically morally superior than <1% of the population (mostly elderly) dying because the CCP released their bioweapon on us. We must never emulate the enemy.
