Todays highlights include a verbal domestic over who was going to cook dinner. Both parties wanted to cook and had to ring the police to come after being unable to resolve the issue themselves.
I really lost my motivation for Twitter during lockdown. I’m going to give it another go though and try to get it back. I am still here though, alive and well.
I’m pretty glad I’m on an early shift today to avoid the inevitable football related issues this evening. I’m not so happy about an early shift tomorrow where we’ll be picking up the pieces of tonight.
Jobs attended last shift were siblings arguing over who would move a box, housemates arguing over cupboard space and an argument over who was using the bathroom next. Mostly these incidents had resolved themselves before we arrived but we still need to attend and record them.
Things weren’t too busy last night, although amongst lots of other things, we did have a glassing, a number of large fights and lots of domestic assaults. Those were serious incidents but it’s normally a lot worse, especially with the football on.
Just been changed at short notice to a late shift tomorrow instead of an early. Someone said it might be busy tomorrow night for some reason. Football and alcohol can make an interesting combination for some people. I’ll let you know how it went. You might need to wish me luck.
Seem to be dealing with more stabbings than ever these days. The one yesterday was a dispute between two rival groups of youths that escalated. The fact the victim is going to be okay is more luck than anything else. The suspects are known and should be arrested soon though.
Whilst continuing my rock & roll lifestyle in Homebase today, a man comes up to me who seems pleased to see me & says it’s been ages since we last saw each other. I spoke with him briefly but I have no idea who he was. Still don’t! Awkward & also slightly scary!
Good evening. I’ve not been online for some time but I’ve decided to try to make a come back. Just wondering if anyone is still listening. Let me know 👍
So it’s the last day of self isolating today and guess what, I developed a persistent cough. Another 7 days off work making 21 in total when I may not actually have the virus & could have been fit to work!
I’ve been a bit quiet recently as I’ve taken a new role advising, supporting & helping victims, making sure they get the right help as & when they need it. Hoping the change will also help me recharge my batteries a bit after 15 years out on the streets on the front line.
This is my son, Brandon. Today is his 12th Birthday. I can’t give him the party he deserves but Brandon loves geography.
He would love it if you would RT or reply where you are so he can mark it on his map.
