Adelaide Clark and James Bailey are the 2025-2026 Provost Faculty Fellowship Recipients! Funded by the SPaRC office, these fellowships support research during the academic year—one for a pre-tenured faculty member and one for a tenured faculty member. Congrats to both!
She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in India and completed her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of New Mexico.
She enjoys teaching Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Development Economics.
Dr. Sen Chakraborty is an applied microeconomist with research interests in Development Economics, Labor Economics, and Gender. Her work focuses on the impacts of government programs and weather shocks on adolescent human capital and labor outcomes in developing countries.
Providence College will now be classified as a Research College and University by the @ACEducation and @CarnegieFdn, thanks to significant growth in research efforts across campus.

Shatanjaya received her PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder @CU_Economics. She joined PC in 2019 and teaches core and elective courses in microeconomics.
Nestor received his PhD in Economics from NYU @nyuniversity. His research interests include open-economy macroeconomics, international finance and monetary policy. Current work explores the determinants of international business cycle co-movement.
