I was shocked to hear that animal carcasses had been dumped at St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Caledon. Along with my colleague in the village, Rev Joanne Smith, we condemn this obscene act. As part of the local community, we pray for all who have been affected.

It was an insightful visit, where we were made so welcome! PCI has been sending chaplains to all 3 services for generations & each plays an invaluable role in peacetime & in times of war. As they support service personnel of faith & no faith they are deserving of our prayers.
The Defence Academy has welcomed The Rt Revd Dr Trevor Gribben, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, alongside senior chaplaincy leaders.
They visited our Armed Forces Chaplaincy Centre to observe our chaplain training and toured the historic Beckett House.
At a meeting of Irish Church Leaders today, we agreed to encourage our churches to take time to study the new proposals on legacy. As a denomination, we will do this through our Council for Public Affairs.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of having lunch with Mayor Ruairi McHugh & the deputy Mayor Niree McMorris. During lunch we discussed a number of key issues facing Derry & Strabane Council. I commend the valuable work they & the council are doing.
Had a wonderful time with An Garda Siochana, in Letterkenny. Thanks to Supt David Kelly & his colleagues for the warm welcome & positive engagement. I expressed the thanks of our Church to those who serve in the Garda throughout the state.
