@johnrabe This year is a massive success for the Cards regardless if they miss the playoffs. Baez, Wetherholt, Leahy, Pallante, Jordan, McGreevy, Herrera, Winn, Burleson. The core is there and the future is bright
@johnrabe Yeah, I just don’t see any rational explanation for this. I’d be interested in the rationale/business justification from the Cardinals organization. It seems you’re literally saying take my money, I just want to get back into the stadium and watch baseball & they’re saying no.
@johnrabe Not a good look by the organization.
By my naked eyes viewing the game currently on Apple TV, of the 44,383 seats at Busch Stadium, it appears roughly 10,000ish of said seats have asses in them.
Sorry man.
@dgoold How is this better than just letting the teams relax and resume the game tomorrow at 12:05 pm as part of a partial day night doubleheader? It’s almost 11 pm local time for crying out loud. Why so hell bent on playing tonight? What am I missing? How is playing tonight any better?
@johnrabe 48-44, 4-6 in July, and the Braves coming to town with the Marlins virtually unbeatable right now. Gotta win this next series or could be 4-5 GB for the last Wild card spot at 49-46ish heading into the All Star break which ain’t great. Team is again pretty mediocre
@johnrabe Can’t throw a tailor made double play ball to third base into right field and get no outs, then throw a caught sac fly pop out in right field into the stands in the same inning and expect to win
@RiggsBarstool Where would you rank this as a US Open among the last most recent ones? Seemed like it lacked lots of pizzaz to me. No real oomph. Didnt even look that packed on tv. Traffic stunk. Not very loud or raucous. Course ended up playing tough in the end (3 players under par) = good
@johnrabe Shifting gears a bit, but why does Church throw bounce passes back into the infield when he fields the ball in the outfield? He’s done it twice in a row now hitting a cutoff man from 150ish feet. Hit a guy in the chest on the fly one time.
@johnrabe After the start by Leahy, I thought the pen would burn thru at least 3 arms tonight and win or lose be gassed for the rest of this series. The load he shouldered tonight for the staff was terrific. Obvious player of the game in my opinion
@johnrabe Avoid the sweep tomorrow, get to the off day, then tee off on a struggling Cubs team this weekend at Busch, then the schedule gets easier (Rangers, Reds, Mets, Twins)
