Honored to speak at @EveshamPD —NJ’s first agency to sign the @30x30initiative pledge, for Women’s History Month. Grateful to Councilmember Heather Cooper and my fellow Rutgers @celgatru alum for the invite & to Chief Reinholt for the warm welcome. Inspiring morning with women in policing across NJ. #WomensHistoryMonth
Exciting Milestone, just in time for Women's History Month! My @TEDTalks on women in policing just surpassed 2 million views! Grateful for the impact it's sparked and everyone who watched, shared, and joined the conversation.
I can't wait to join my @TEDFellow family for #TED2025 in April—especially excited to learn from visionary speakers on the future of AI.

Just wrapped up an amazing training at @PolicingWorks
at @Cambridge_Uni. Learned R, analyzed RCTs & connected with brilliant UK police officers, analysts & intel experts. Also got to visit @metpoliceuk New Scotland Yard & saw Sir Robert Peel’s bust – “The police are the people, and the people are the police.”
Big thanks to Dr. Eleanor Neyroud, Simon Rose &
@PolicingEquity for making it possible! 🙌 Excited to dive into @30x30initiative data!
Honored to be featured in @PoliceOne eBook on elevating women in law enforcement! Education is a powerful equalizer, helping women advance and lead in policing. Together, we’re shaping a more equitable future.

Prior experience in the military or assignments to specialized law enforcement units, like SWAT, are often considered major qualifiers for promotion to a leadership role in policing, says Roman, “but in all those areas, women are underrepresented....advanced educational attainment can sometimes become an equalizer...” https://t.co/uj2bulAxf2

In 2016, I was selected as an @OJPNIJ LEADS Scholar, a program supporting research-minded, sworn law enforcement officers working to integrate research into agency policy.
Today, at the NIJ Research Conference @NIJDirLaVigne welcomed a plenary session celebrating 10 years of LEADS and the program’s impact on our careers, and the advancement of research and evidence in policing.
I am grateful for the program’s transformative role on my life and career but more importantly for the future of women in policing by serving as an incubator for @30x30initiative #FindYourPeople
The @30x30initiative effort grew out of the NIJ-hosted Research Summit on Women in Policing and aims to improve the recruitment and experiences of women in law enforcement: https://t.co/3boZZk10cM @DOJBJA#PoliceWomenDay
Remarks from NAWLEE PRESIDENT @ginavhawkins at the Women in Policing breakfast at National Law Enforcement Museum, “What an amazing day to be a Police Woman celebrating all my strong Sisters-IN-LAW trailblazers; women with bold ideas whose actions spur big change, women like Chief Ivonne Roman and Maureen McGough who started the @30x30initiative initiative.” On this National Police Woman’s Day, I am grateful for the amazing leaders I count as partners in improving outcomes for women in policing, but even more grateful for those I can also count as friends.
Thanks, Gina.
Today at the @IAWPInfo conference, @USDOJ_Intl Director Gregory Ducot introduces a panel featuring international case studies of the DOJ’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) police partners. Moderated by Lynn Holland, Senior Law Enforcement Advisor for the EMPoWER Program (Engaging Multinational Police Women on Equality and Rights), the program builds the capacity of women to combat terrorism by supporting them through leadership opportunities and inclusion in counterterrorism efforts.
