✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of Alex Borges!

The young Left Back signs for the Magpies after impressing whilst on trial during pre-season.

Brazilian-born Alex spent his youth career at Bournemouth Poppies, Dorset RTC, Hamworthy United and Christchurch, before a breakout season last year at Bemerton Heath Harlequins, whilst also winning the Dorset Premier League Supplementary Cup with Cobham Sports.

🗣️ On signing for The Magpies, Alex said: “I’m truly blessed and grateful to have signed for Wimborne Town FC. All glory to God for opening this door.

“At 18, this is a big step in my career and I’m excited for the journey ahead. The Bible says: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart” and that’s my intention to give my everything for the badge. I can’t wait to get started!”

🗣️ Manager Tim Sills commented: “I’m really happy to have Alex with us for the coming season.

“He's a box of tricks, athletic and so eager to keep learning with a great attitude so I'm looking forward to watching him grow more at Wimborne.”
