@MosiniElisa Every organization that is run by Europeans is corrupt as sh*t, whether it is the IOC or FIFA. You folks cared more about a bogus red card being suspended than thousands of slaves dying building stadiums for your sport. Americans have laws & morals. You have rules & corruption.
@benedictcooney The "laptop class" or professional managerial class is once again hard at work building their moat. AI terrifies them. Data centers are more evil now than COVID.
@MaMoMVPY For the record, FIFA is run by a bunch of Europeans. The US has exactly the same number of FIFA councilors that Canada has adequate stadiums - 1. Meanwhile there are 9 European councilors who run FIFA, which explains why it is a corrupt, dog sh*t organization. Get bent.
@LoeveTristan You do realize the US, with a far more diversified country than Denmark, has on average IQ 4 points higher than Denmark and an ICI score second to none.
Stick to Legos.
@LeonKrauze I think the point that you are missing is that Americans already viewed FIFA as a corrupt joke. Whether Trump had influence or not, you are arguing for Americans to acquiesce in a system that was already corrupt. That's not in our DNA.
@NoWayWoke Not only did you just rename slavery "indentured servitude" to justify your exploitation of other humans, but you were also responsible for funding the Confederacy and building the Confederate Navy, among other things.
I suppose that makes us 3-0 against the UK.
@klaasm67 Imagine staying quiet when thousands of basically slave workers died in Qatar constructing the stadiums and FIFA lied about it, but deciding to die on this hill. This, and Hitler, is why Americans have a tough time taking you seriously.
@DaveHo1mes I believe soccer is our game now. Probably should have reformed FIFA while your continent was still relevant. That's ok, the US will clean it up for you.
@pl_european FIFA probably overturned it precisely because they want the US to host another World Cup - and sooner than you think. Should it been overturned? Absolutely. Still, should FIFA have a better, more transperant appeals process? 100%.
To all those whiny Europeans bitching about the "Ronaldo Rule" being applied to Balogun: you probably should have cleaned up that opaque, corrupt organization that runs this crap before they realized how much more money they could make off Soccer in the US, than in your little countries.
@aksumfootball Hahaha - typical bitter, wimpy European. FIFA was fine when awarding Qatar the world cup. FIFA Gate didn't bother you. The bribery, Blatter and Havelange years - all good. Lack of transparency ok. But the second the "Ronaldo Rule" is applied to an American - Soccer is destroyed!
@piersmorgan What's funny is that it is within the rules. What's also funny is that this rule is commonly referred to as the "Ronaldo Rule" - where was your outrage when FIFA suspended that red card? Why is your outrage not directed at FIFA?
@WasEinHumburg hahaha - cry harder!
The fact that you don't direct your anger at the opaque, corrupt FIFA tells you everything you need to know about your compliant European mind.
