It's just when you zoom in to the county level that it goes off the rails. It makes the requirement to vote in your county of residence seem even more nonsensical

We also tend to forget such a coup would have support from the President

@Miyhnea for someone more PSD-friendly like Predoiu if a motion passes. Rather than the USR attaching itself to some broad wing of the PNL, it seems a small part of the PNL under Bolojan attached itself to the USR, while the PSDist & PDL wings of his party are going along for now. (2/2)

@Miyhnea I feel like it's more so the other way around. Behind the veneer of unity, Bolojan doesn't actually have broad support inside the PNL. They closed ranks around him now, to keep their primary position in govt, but it's an open secret they will boot him out (1/2)

@Miyhnea @gutista02 Right, I'm just saying the PNR had more stable party structures on home turf (in Transylvania) than the PȚ-Bas had in Bessarabia. No major party splits occurred in the PNR in the critical time period right as the union was materialising (1918-1920), which you can't say for PȚ-Bas

@Miyhnea @gutista02 I think the biggest reason for that is the division inside the PȚ-Bas between the Inclueț and Halippa factions (but not just those). Sure the PNR had a lot of factions sometimes with radically different views like Goga's, but no one truly challenged Maniu's leadership
