The @ECISchools team are rockstars!
It’s been a fantastic #ECISleadership2023: learning from inspirational leaders around facets of school culture and change and sharing the @ACSintschools Teacher Residency Programme with the brilliant @mathsimum. (And dancing the YMCA.)
@courosa Using it for student scaffolding-project was TED talks. Had ChatGPT create each student's first draft of speech. They used these to identify sub topics for research and pulled hooks and calls to action. Felt super successful and good way to integrate convos about ChatGPT ethics

“In a very real sense, we teach kids what’s easy to test instead of what’s important to learn.” - provocative keynote from Ted @dintersmith of @SchoolCouldBe opening #AAIE2023 today @AAIEGlobal
Question: do you remember any information you crammed for a standardized test? Do you use any of it in the real world? If not... why are we still using them?

Can’t believe it’s been a week since this fantastic day of learning for our UK educators. 60 engaging and diverse sessions, all run by our very own @ACSintschools faculty for the 400 colleagues in attendance.
Today I did a presentation in Inclusive Language at @ACSintschools, I had an amazing experience and great feedback! So proud! Thanks for the opportunity @ACSCobhamSchool @acshillschool @ACSEgham and @PDthoughts 🤩 #inclusivelanguage#Diversity#inclusion

*Memory* is incredibly interesting.
I've been studying it for a few years and hardly scratched the surface!
Here are 3 key things I've learned and what I think they might mean for teachers... 🧵
Such a treat for @ACSintschools faculty and staff to get to chat with @christy_lefteri this afternoon! We read #thebeekeeperofaleppo as part of this year’s PL conversation on individuality. How wonderful to learn more from the gracious author’s personal insights! #booksforbreaks
