The IRS is threatening to seize a Tennessee man's farm after charging him interest on a $20,000 refund it accidentally sent him, which he immediately tried to return.

Wilson Perry Kirby, 76, says he was accidentally sent $20,000 by the IRS in 2022.

Kirby immediately tried returning the money and even hired an accountant to fix the issue.

Instead, the IRS is now charging him interest on the money he tried returning and is withholding his 2025 tax refund.

"I've tried the president, governor, mayor. They don't mind asking you to vote for them, but when you need help you can't get ahold of nobody," Kirby said.

Despite trying to fix the problem, the IRS is still sending letters, demanding he pay interest on the money they accidentally sent him that he tried to return. He never spent it.

The IRS is now threatening to seize his farm if he doesn't pay the up to $4300 (and growing) interest.

Infuriating.

I still can't wrap my head around the fact that there are still 50,000 people missing from the Venezuela earthquakes.

Imagine if a disaster of that scale happened in the US. Fifty thousand people is roughly the entire population of Palm Springs, California. Picture every single resident of that city just gone.

If that many people vanished under rubble in a Western country, it would be the only thing on every news channel, every single day, for months.

Instead, it feels like this massive tragedy has just been brushed under the carpet by the mainstream media cycle. The sheer scale of the devastation in places like La Guaira is unfathomable, yet the world has largely looked away.

Every single one of those 50,000 missing people is someone’s child, parent, or friend. The global silence around this humanitarian crisis is deafening.

Social media has made some of you, especially men, become far too comfortable with blatantly disrespecting female athletes.

Posting constructive comments or expressing genuine concern is completely fine, but there comes a point when the line is crossed, and enough is enough.

And that’s not being soft. It’s about being respectful and understanding that when an athlete has a poor performance or doesn’t meet YOUR expectations, they don’t deserve the brunt of your negativity, especially when they’ve done nothing to warrant it.

Some will say it’s sport and that they’re in the public eye, rather than directly addressing the people who leave degrading comments in the first place.
