“But most of all, we hope it truly exemplifies the thing that PIE holds most dear. That we are first and foremost about founders. And founders as people. With lives and families and friends outside of their startup pursuits.” — @turoczy https://t.co/o8ahkAvW7o

@turoczy@bfeld@StartupCW Rick!! ♥️ Thank you for being a part of this. It's an honor. You're a wonderful writer, thinker, dot connector, and all-around human. I've learned a lot from you.
But it wasn’t until today that I had the opportunity to see a chunk of my own written content in print. In a book. Like an author. Thank you @bfeld and @IanHathaway for the opportunity. Congrats on the launch! Happy to be part of the @StartupCW https://t.co/Me4ovzC69z
In 2016, I had the unique pleasure of being interviewed by @mitsuyamazaki for his book Portland Makers. A follow up to his bestseller. My words and thoughts appeared in Japanese. And would be translated into Korean, as well.
In the 2007, I started @siliconflorist. I was going to be a blogger. And then I got hired by ReadWriteWeb. I was a paid blogger. Over the course of the next dozen years, I would have the opportunity to write online and appear quoted in publications.
In the mid 90s, as a side hustle, I got hired by The Mining Co then https://t.co/zA0GTLnzs1 to be a “guide” (👋 @PeterCHoran). I was a paid writer. Then I started my own blog. I was going to be a blogger. As Flash became a thing, my work was highlighted in a book. I was in print.
I was going to be a writer. My first “life after graduation” job was as a literary agent. In helping authors, I found joy. I was going to be an editor. I got hired by another company to edit corporate newsletters sent via fax. I was going to be a journalist.
In 7th grade, I won a state writing contest. I was going to be an author. In high school, I spent several years editing the school paper and writing movie reviews. I was going to be a journalist. In college, I majored in English and got a few things published in school pubs.

"Many Black Americans remain skeptical that real change will happen. It is a dream too long deferred, too long denied. Overcoming systemic racism will require equally systematic solutions and a sustained sense of urgency," @Phil_Gaskin. https://t.co/itLEAbnU8M
