Last event of the calendar year. A wonderful football festival from @SGNKssp . I now have all 40 children from my football club have attended either a game, tournament or festival this term. Football is for everyone and the children loved the chance to play. @BoothroydAcad

We are very lucky to currently have the gym equipment from @SGNKssp so many classes have had the chance to use it this week. Today was the turn of reception who had so much fun working on their fitness in circuit training. @BoothroydAcad @FocusTrust1

To make it even better, the girls got the meet the players after the game. The girls were so overjoyed to have photos and signatures from the players. So good of the players to interact this way creating life long memories. @LUFCwomen @BoothroydAcad @FocusTrust1

Amazing day yesterday. We took our girls’ football team to go watch the Leeds Ladies play at Elland Road. An amazing experience and an amazing way to show the girls what sport can achieve. Part of an amazing 4801 fans watching a tier 4 women’s game. Sensational. @BoothroydAcad

The work always keeps going. Our teachers are developing their teaching of gymnastics this afternoon in their CPD session. The children are working on their balance and use of key skills and vocabulary including a tuck. @BoothroydAcad

Our sporting after school clubs are up and running. With football and gymnastics on the agenda today. Lots of very happy faces seen everywhere. @BoothroydAcad

Today was National Fitness Day. Class 5DK came out to be the first class back on the Marathon kids trail. They walked, talked and jogged their way round completing over 34km combined. @BoothroydAcad @FocusTrust1

Our latest batch of young leaders are trained as Year 4 were next up. Great teamwork and communication was shown to help learn how to lead a range of activities. Looking forward to them putting these skills into practice at break and lunch. Thanks as always @SGNKssp

To finish the year my two Year 6 PE stars and overall star of the Year. They have been the most amazing pair to teach, coach and take to so, so many events in my 3 years here. I will absolutely miss their positivity, effort and amazing attitude. @BoothroydAcad @FocusTrust1

Yesterday we have the pleasure of Gail from @SGNKssp visiting our year 1 children. They worked really hard on the A, B and C’s of physical activity. Thank you as always. @BoothroydAcad @FocusTrust1

First time cycling to work today. Muddy at times but a full 21km completed. We encourage the children to make active journeys through @livingstreets so it’s great I can do it too. Ready for the day. Thank you @FocusTrust1 for the cycle to work scheme. @BoothroydAcad

Our final event of the year was last week in the form of a tri-golf. Golf is now part of our curriculum and it was great to allow some more children to take part in their first inter school event. Thank you as always @SGNKssp @BoothroydAcad @FocusTrust1
