They can't fathom that I can do everything "right" and a man will kill me in the mall toilet.

@____justsihle The reason they don't understand it fully is because they are killed in situations that they can mostly avoid/mitigate with the exception of roberries & hijacking. Road rage, tavern fights, gang violence etc they can avoid. For women there's no such thing as avoiding it.

@Amahashi_ True. The staff complement in my engineering school in the 2010s, no black South African lecturers at all. Head of school at the time was an American YT, we had 2 or 3 YT SAns, 1 to 3 UK, South American & East Asian. But overwhelming majority were W or E African nationals.
