Today I spoke in Westminster Hall about the crisis in SEND provision in Hampshire.
The entire system needs an overhaul, including ensuring provision of appropriate and reliable transport for our rural communities.
Astonishing comments from a Conservative MP about his party's leadership contest.
I have long fought for equal representation in public life. Unfortunately, views like this are still held by some and only serve to damage women's prospects.

@alexbrewer@5050Parliament@fawcettsociety Just wow!! Sounds like we haven’t moved on from the 1960s when women were expected to give up jobs to raise children and work in the home!

Parents of children and young people with SEND, special educational needs and disabilities, are thrown into an adversarial system where they have to fight LAs to get their child/yp's needs met. It's exhausting, dehumanising and it doesn't work for anyone involved.
The leader of the Liberal Democrats has visited a charity in Fleet today, and told us there’s a “real crisis” in support for SEND children and their families. Sir Ed Davey told @AlexDuke2000 that he’s concerned about SEND Provision.
Being Zoe's Mum is a privilege, being her carer is a challenge. Being an optimist, I tend not to dwell on it. That means frequently people don't see it. Hearing someone describe my life is powerful, it hurts, it's being seen. So proud to call @alexbrewer my friend and my MP.
Today, I was delighted to welcome Lib Dem leader @edwardjdavey to North East Hampshire and introduce him to @SteppingStoneDS where I have worked for the past 5 years.
Supporting family carers is a key priority for me and for the @libdems - we need better conditions for carers.
Earlier today, I visited @SteppingStoneDS with @alexbrewer, who made a huge impact running it before entering Parliament. The work they do for children with Down syndrome and their families is inspiring.
Had a great time meeting the kids and speaking with their amazing staff.
