1. The model is not the system.

The function of a friend is to suffer punishment we'd like to inflict on enemies. You must be hurt & upset to think of really good phrases. You can't make tragedy without social instability. Mild labor, then a soma ration and unrestricted copulation; what more could we ask for?

Orientation - the enemy gate is down. He was commander every moment they were together and he never had to remind them of it, he simply was. A miracle or mistake; it was habit. In other places, deeper places, he doubted they needed him.
