Yesterday's reversal of his promise to allow Ukraine to build Patriot defense systems followed a call with the leader of the Russian war criminal regime. The reversal should provoke us to remember three things:

1. Conservatives and Republicans have conceded a benchmark of American liberty by reinforcing the idea that one man - the president - can start wars, tariff nations, suspend treaties, etc. - by fiat - notwithstanding the unconstitutionality of such actions.

2. Putin - not Laura Loomer, Melania, Congress - has ultimate sway with the American president on Ukraine.

3. On even the most basic issue of protecting women and children from being murdered in their sleep by giving Ukraine defensive weapons, the Administration remains on the wrong side.

We hadn’t even introduced Becky onto the page as she was adopted before arriving.
Becky actually arrived with Hei-Wa from China and is a small ish whippet type.
Originally from @CandyCaneRescue we lent a paw and just made use of the flight to help another.
We had an enquiry from a home with another whippet and they were so excited they even tracked her flight over ❤️
Just to remind you we are not becoming a rescue for China dogs.
We now and again help @CandyCaneRescue as we have a long standing relationship.
We are not a Spanish rescue looking to import dogs when we know there is so many here. Kerry at Candy Hound has helped GDS enormously over in the UK especially with unwanted black Greyhounds and dogs that have bounced from their homes.
It’s give and take and we love to give back in this way.
Back to Becky tho… such a good girl and we are delighted she’ll never see a meat market again in China 🇨🇳

Right now I'm responsible for 🐶 68 rescue dogs, 🫏 1 rescued donkey, 🐱 1 rescued cat, and 👶 human 7 month.

I lost my job in May, and the salary that kept this rescue running disappeared overnight. Everything now feels uncertain.

Firstly it's a downright lie, as not a single one of them crossed to the mainland (they need a visa from Ceuta and if they had one, why put themselves through the risk of drowning etc, they would have travelled legally on it long ago)

Secondly and more widely, I'm sorry but it takes a particular kind of gall to constantly fan these often racist flames, when 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 were basically economic migrants, looking for a better life, fleeing from conflict and poverty in Sri Lanka. The only difference is his parents were much luckier than the people he constantly whips up hate against (for reasons best known to himself) in that the UK 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 came to in the 80s and he grew up in was a much more welcoming place for "migrants," economic or otherwise

No wonder Reform spreads, unchallenged, its "they're all coming here" narrative (see Suella Braverman's tweet whipping up the anger, claiming right on cue that "most of them are heading to the UK !")
