Pedri is the best midfielder in the world, and the gap between him and whoever dares to call themselves second isn’t just huge. It’s cosmic. It’s a black hole. This is how a midfielder is meant to be playing. This is the sport we all fall in love with. This is truth himself.

🚨 Do you see yourself playing centrally in the future?
Lamine Yamal: “I think Messi also had three players marking him on the wing. The only place where they can’t really do that is in central areas because there’s much more space and movement. Over time, I’ll move there because on the wing it’s easier for teams to defend against you with three players, while in the middle that’s much harder.”
Won’t fans miss your dribbling on the wing?
Lamine Yamal: “I can still go one-on-one in central areas too. I’m actually more decisive when I receive the ball and turn in central positions than when I’m out wide. But right now, I think it’s best for the team that I play on the wing. The time will come when I’m more decisive in the middle, and I’ll eventually end up there.” #fcblive 👀
🥶 Lamine Yamal: “A time will come when I'll be more in the middle to receive the ball and face the goal, and I'll definitely get excited about playing in that position. But, of course, now for the team, I think it's better for me to be on the wing” #ESP ️
