When someone connects to the world around them, we get a little closer to a better and healthier planet that will continue to sustain us. #LiveLifeOutside
I’m subjected unavoidably to the mind numbing nonsense of TV news happy talk. Why do these hosts gleefully predict another record high for this date as if #ClimateCrisis and #ClimateEmergency are good news?
Tip o’ the hat to the dog walker/hiker on trails who actually did remember to pick up the bag of poo left trail side at the beginning of the hike. #ThereIsNoPoopFairy#PickItUp
Our moon is making friends this week. Earlier this week, she rose in the sky next to Jupiter, this morning, she’s right next to Mars. #connections#cycles
We are enjoying cooler rainy weather today. Our dry Colorado climate would get downright cold for rain to fall. Just my recent observation over the past year, rainfall feels more like other places where a rainy day can be pleasant, not a risk to hypothermia.
#LoveThemLeashThem on #JeffcoOpenSpace trails for multiple reasons. One is to prevent conflict between dogs. If you’re in the wrong, don’t double down with name-calling. Unpleasantness at Lair O’ the Bear. Sigh. Didn’t ruin my morning though.
Coming in a little late but it is #WildlifeWednesday First sighting of pelicans here in CO this spring and other migratory waterfowl stopping over to raise their broods. #Connections#Cycles
My neighborhood cruises this past few weeks have been illuminated by #Venus, #Mars , #Saturn and last week #Jupiter joined in on the eastern horizon. Now the #Moon is in the line of planets. #Cycles#Connections
@PreetBharara We have A/C and summers get over 100° F. If we keep windows open at night to let in cool air and close up during the day, we keep the house comfortable and use A/C minimally. It’s about paying attention to the temps outside. I do not understand the appeal of Phoenix or Vegas
@bluewaverider46 I have watched Orion match across the morning sky. In August it is low in the east around 5 am; in December it is low in the west at 5 am.
