George Orwell worried that a shrinking vocabulary would eventually produce a shrinking range of thought.
It is difficult to think a nuanced thought with a blunt language.

Please endeavour to continually strive for the experience of dominion over sin.
We thank God for "curative conversations" that assure us of God's forgiveness over our mistakes, but there's certainly a loss of boldness and confident audacity every time we become careless and slip into sins.
We have sinned enough for a lifetime as Unbelievers; we ought to aggressively chase after righteousness because God has given us His desires and His power.
Christians, we must guard our speech by committing to these healthy habits:
• Speaking only words that build up
• Refusing to share harmful gossip
• Telling the truth in love always
The wrath of God should certainly be mentioned in the gospel conversation.
But sinners must also be told that Jesus provides a relationship with God, not just an escape from hell.
People must love Heaven because God is present, not just because it keeps hell away.
The ultimate goal of redemption is reconciliation with God and the restoration into His family.
This tone and emphasis paint Christianity not just as a rescue mission from the captivity and horrors of sin but also affirm God's love for us and His mercy that makes us members of His Household.
If you have faithful, godly friends, please ensure they aren't afraid to warn you when you err.
Do everything within your power to encourage their free expression.
Reply to their texts, ask their opinion, and don't make them feel ashamed for asking for your help.
There are very few things that can substitute for faithful friends.
You're so blessed if you can afford such a luxury.
Having a pastor who rarely gives you cringe moments from the pulpit is so underrated.
They may be poor in swag and wretched in fashion, but if they do justice to the scriptures and live blamelessly in the sight of accusers, they have saved you lots of shame and sorrow.
You need a healthy diet to resist sinful practices.
Your doctrinal feeds will be very loud in your soul in the face of temptation.
If you only hear about Christ's forgiveness of sins without hearing about His Dominion over sin, your victory will be little even if you loudly confess your righteousness in Christ.
What you hear about sin, salvation, and the enabling Grace of Christ will determine if you'll be weak in the face of temptation or strong enough to say....."How can I do this wickedness against Christ?"
Please ensure you're really following Jesus and becoming like Him.
Ensure you don't rate yourself too highly on other parameters that don't essentially add to your Christlikeness.
If you think you're a better Christian because you pray in tongues, yet you mock your neighbour who doesn't, then you're sadly in self-deceit.
If you think you're a better Christian because you're versed in patristic literature and Christian scholarship, yet you struggle to defend your faith without vile and rude speech, you're not judging properly.
If you think you're a better Christian because you know that "idols are nothing," so it encourages you to live in debauchery, revelling, and fellowship with demons, you are exactly where Satan wants you to be.
If your prayers, knowledge, and form of godliness add nothing to your Christian virtue and Christlikeness, you are very close to being a well-decorated graveyard.
What scares me most about my fears and anxiety is that I give God a terrible impression about Him.
My panic suggests that He isn't strong enough to keep me.
My fear suggests that something else might be mightier than He is.
My doubts suggest that He isn't faithful enough to be trusted.
My anxieties grieve God in deep ways,
But I'm so glad He loves me despite my frailties.
A church that doesn't know how to repent will self-destruct.
After Satan is done tempting, he continues to persuade his slaves to treat their sins with levity.
They may claim it was just a mistake, but if they didn't feel the grief of the One who died for sins, the cycle is bound to continue.
We seriously need a revival of shame, first for the church and then hopefully for society.
There is no virtue in being confident in the face of true accusations and valid criticisms.
We need more Christians who can say, "I am sorry, I am wrong."
We need more Christians who can weep for their sins.

Pastors teach their flock so much human wisdom that God's Word becomes repulsive and God's wisdom appears as foolishness.
Then we wonder why godly virtues are scarce and why carnal thinking and actions prevail amongst the saints.
A people can't be better than their diet!
