@LegacyBlue_UK 2 coaches who are so thin skinned that they won’t allow themselves to understand that talking to the fan base through the vehicle of the largest college team based radio show in the country could be very helpful to the program
@CincyKYats9 Pope making same mistake Calapari made. KSR has the biggest listenership for any college team based radio show in America. All the coach has to do is show up for interviews occasionally and work cooperatively and a ton of UK and other college sports fans hear him. So easy to do.
@Adams4SecState It’s gonna be a long 21 months as our Sec of State preens and prostrates himself before right wing activist and donors at the expense of our state and institutions leading up to the next statewide elections for KY constitutional offices.
@TJWalkerRadio You can’t be this uniformed. Ky is already gerrymandered for Repubs best it can be. There is only 1 Dem seat (Louisville). To try to split that vote into 2 or 3 districts, it would put 2 or 3 seats potentially in play for Dems since there is such a big Dem vote in Louisville.
@IngrahamAngle Don’t recall you claiming Greg Abbott was a fraud when TX gerrymandered. At least VA did it by vote of the people. Abbott did it with the stroke of a pen. Trump started all of this and now we see crybaby antics when there is pushback.
@ChrisFisherKY Agree but all self-inflicted. He destroyed his own legacy. Take a “special assistant to the president” gig for $200K per year for 2 years and nobody bats an eye. $1M for 3 years looks like a smash and grab job on the way out the door.
@chrisbrewer10 Didn’t know that the home loss stung so much that you try to deflect with blah, blah, blah. Cats came to your building and beat your team on t-shirt night and ruined your weekend. It’s ok to admit it and seek revenge in next season’ s match up.
@Greg75925448240@KySportsRadio It’s $1M. Folks making that much at a public university ought to have a real job with a real job description. If it was, say $200K, to consult with incoming AD or be a special assistant to the Prez, that could make sense. One million dollars is way over the top.
@VolsAboveAll Uk is 9-4 against TN in the last 5 years which includes 4 of 5 IN KNOXVILLE. But yeah, TN is objectively more successful than UK over the last 5 years. 😆😆😆😆😆😆 Thanks for the laugh.
In the height of TN b-ball, TN still loses to KY nearly 70% of the time.
@ChadHedrickKY No Chad. It’s spiraling because a player Mark Pope WANTED and was ready to pay a couple million bucks rebuffed him. It’s because Pope can’t close on who Pope chose, not who the fans chose.
@MattSakR2NG The legacy is worse than that. He also hired and had to fire Billy G in two years. At one of the TOP 3-4 brands in college b-ball, he went 1 for 3 (33%) in hiring coaches. Abysmal AD.
@RichieBucketsUK This isn’t about Freeman. You miss the point entirely. This is about Mark Pope not getting the guy HE WANTED. If Pope said he was our guy and even deferred another player ready to commit, doesn’t that say Pope failed to deliver against the objective HE CREATED (not the fans).
@keithtaylor21 I respect you trying to be creative, but I can’t think of a Final 4 player that came up through the JUCO ranks in the last 25 years. When Prop 48 made kids ineligible until grades were in order, that led some good players initially to JUCO and then to good programs, but not now.
@DBMac93 Wrong take. Fans are sophisticated and know that recent misses means we are not top 1/2 of SEC (let alone Natty contender) unless we hit a couple of long shots. Saying that out loud doesn’t make it less true.
@JasonHa95236420 @LionTrees_ Moronic comment. Fans and media covering UK want one thing - a winning program. Everyone benefits. With the program stumbling bad, “clicks” aren’t the objective, it’s getting back to winning. Folks that are defending mediocrity at best are the ones creating the upheaval.
@TaninSmithKK I said that the moment he was hired and maintained it ever since. Only someone that didn’t want to see it couldn’t see it (including MB). I loved MP the player but MP the coach doesn’t have the demeanor or skills to be KY’s coach. It was there for all to see when he was hired.
