This is the world’s oldest fossil crayfish, Enoploclytia porteri, found at @PetrifiedNPS. It was native to northern Arizona 220 million years ago, but now crayfish are invasive here and you can catch and eat as many as you want with a valid @azgfd fishing license. #mudbug

There's more to Lowell Observatory than just the Discovery Channel Telescope. We have several smaller telescopes, and we operate the Navy Precision Optical Interferometer, which is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar upgrade.
