@CrimeWatchMpls After reading other comments, I must add that we need immigrants for low paid jobs like home health aides. I’m 81 with cancer and a tremor- high fall risk. Agency could not find an aide for me until my wonderful Somali aide. She & her husband are raising & educating family.

@CrimeWatchMpls Just a nice graduation gift. The majority of Somalians are not criminals. Note that one fraud conviction led by white citizens who took advantage of vulnerable Somali immigrants needing employment. The Somali workers not trained.

Still struck by this: Genevieve Hansen, the off-duty firefighter on the scene as George Floyd died, said she stayed on scene after Floyd was taken away bc she worried about the Black people and people of color --like Donald Williams -- possibly being hurt by remaining police.

@thehill Good article in Politico (within last week) on how Trump sidelined so many from the CDC and NIH. Interview with Dr. Fauci on 60 minutes Sunday was great. His family suffering from harassment & just as affected by pandemic as many - can’t visit his mother-in-law, 96, or see kids.

The only healthcare that will cover all in U.S. , regardless of pre-existing conditions, is universal coverage, preferably single-payer, like in Canada. Note that Canada has a much lower rate of COVID-19 infection because they educate according to science, not lobbyists.

26 years ago today, the Senate passed 10-year bans on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines—it was an effort I was proud to champion.

These bans saved lives, and Congress should have never let them expire.
