This month I’ve slowly been debuting the library’s button maker during our advisory time. Wasn’t sure how it would go… but today there was A LOT of button making and some serious planning for future making sessions. Awww, yeah, let’s do this!
PHS wants to thank the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 10722 in Pelham for their generous gift of patriotic books for all three of our schools. We thank you for your constant support of our students. #together#pelhamproud#everyday
Worked with @Day2DayELA on using primary sources for narrative nonfiction writing! Lots of great conversations about what makes primary sources so powerful! #pelhamproud#together
Our FBLA Officers are attending their leadership conference virtually today. We’ve transformed into the Python Convention Center for a few days, complete with flowers and snacks!
First photo is of the book delivery that arrived last week for me to work on today. Second photo is of the book delivery that came in while I was in a meeting with @MsmeadP this afternoon. So who needs volunteer hours!?
Day 4 of #PHSspiritweek is a snow day! So here are our favorite December colors: brown creamy hot cocoa and brown broken, probably too hard to eat, gingerbread houses that have been gleefully smashed! We’ve already played in the snow, it’s book time! #PHSPelham#PelhamProud
It’s winter sports day during #PHSspiritweek, and TBH it feels a bit like a basketball game today; running up and down the court, shifting gears and plays while #PHSPelham students are remote, but we’re getting things done #together! #Pythonpride#PelhamProud
I’ve spent the past few days checking out, organizing, and delivering class novels to our English classes. The book carts were very satisfying to see, some days it’s about simple librarian joys.
@Day2DayELA Haha! The book that went swimming was not salvageable, and it weighed like 3 pounds with all the water! The book there has a page torn in half vertically. Added that to this weeks “Why/how would you do that?” list.
I was too far away to get good action shots while working the entrance table; but Mrs. Krumlauf and I enjoyed watching the Pythons take on Campbell tonight. Nice W Pythons!
It’s #BannedBooksWeek and we’re celebrating our Freedom to Read! Central to Banned Books Week is our ability to read what we want to expand our minds and stimulate our intellectual curiosity. Stop by the library this week and consider what we lose when stories are silenced.
Staff Coffee looks a little different this year, and we’re still working on how to take group photos that include our PRO team too. But, we were able to come together, laugh, and connect. #pelhamproud#together
