Meta just launched Muse - and it could change how Shopify brands think about CRO.
Your next customer might never visit your store.

@Chris_Wichert Exactly. The interesting part for me is that CRO doesnโt disappear, it moves upstream.
If AI is influencing the buying decision, then the things we optimize- product data, positioning, proof, and offer clarity have to work before the customer even reaches the PDP.
If AI agents become a major way people discover products, what part of the Shopify funnel do you think CRO will need to rethink first?

The interesting shift is this:
Search โ Store โ Product โ Checkout
could become:
Conversation โ AI recommendation โ Product โ Checkout
CRO may no longer start when someone lands on your store.
It may start when AI decides what to show them.
Your customers change faster than your store does. New need. New priorities. New buying behavior.
Yet many stores keep showing everyone the same recommendations.
CRO isnโt just optimizing pages, Itโs keeping the buying journey relevant to what customers want now.
