@firemandeanbuck The 70s was the era of change and progress. So drivers would break contract and out their orientation to push from progress and freedom of choice to hide or be open about it. Medical advances help them complete full seasons without the disadvantge of heats getting in the way.
I would like to make a full essay on how the use of A/B/O in a stereotypical sense in the F1 rpf just doesnt work.
Like there is no way the teams would pick hormone driven usually tall & bulky alphas OVER takes their meds to balance, lean & focused omegas.
@firemandeanbuck Which why omega drivers teams would hide their orientation in the 60s from the public (which would explain the drivers missing some races and them needing to hire extras) It's a win win situation, they get a good driver & the driver privacy is protected.
Just turned 18 and learned that James Hunt died on this day. RIP James, he was a wonderful driver (and from what I read and learned about him) an amazing human being too.
A few photos of him & Niki that I very much adore from the Australian GP 1992
