@RobertStock6 I think most guys hunt. As soon as it not a lane or speed they’re looking for they shut it down. If you’re trying to hit every speed/location, you’re just defending up there.

And that’s where I think it’s different than 10 yrs ago.. maybe 5

Come on man. These are the most athletic positions on the field and the padres have league average (generous) athletes that don’t provide outlier slug

@RobertStock6 @BMcAlary23 Yeah I interpret this as yes yes no. Which I agree with in general. Didn’t need to add “until you see it’s a ball” but I work with a lot of young hitters that sit back and defend the plate so I get what he’s trying to accomplish
