Last month, Orbán was the only EU leader to attend Beijing’s 3rd Belt & Road Forum, indicating that the Hungarian government has little to no plans to follow the EU’s de-risking strategy 🇭🇺🇨🇳

My timeline is flooded—again—with horrific images of Palestinian children being slaughtered by Israel, all while the media gaslights us with “Israel targets Hamas amid fragile ceasefire” headlines.
No food, no water, no evacuations, just a massacre across Gaza. This is genocide.
Why has the EU supported Ukraine but ‘othered’ Palestine? @jrochg_uoc & I just published the article “The Colonial Imaginary of ‘Europe’ in the EU’s Asymmetrical Response to the Russian and Israeli Aggressions” in @JCMS_EU. Check it out in open access👇 https://t.co/ebPFjJaj94
🟢 Israel has raided Kamal Adwan Hospital, the last functioning hospital in the North of Gaza and abducted its staff.
🔴 Detainees were stripped and beaten. The whereabouts of medical staff such as Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya are still unknown.
⚫️ Medical professionals around the globe have an obligation to speak out. This attack on protected groups must be condemned, and the hospital staff must be released.
As always, keep logging evidence of power holders justifying attacks on hospitals.
Israel bombed an apartment building in Beirut this week, at 4am, with no warning, killing at least 15 people. And on the same day negotiations were taking place for a ceasefire.
This is a massive media scandal.
@SkyNews posted a video accurately describing what happened in Amsterdam.
It described violence perpetrated by Israeli football hooligans, and their hideous racism.
They then deleted it. This is the original.
5-9 year olds are the most killed age group in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Israel’s plan to stop people from returning to the north is ethnic cleansing.
Meanwhile, media & politicians defend fascist football thugs chanting “death to Arabs”.
Where’s the outrage against genocide?
Despicable framing by the BBC. Not a single mention of the days of vandalism and anti-Palestinian and Islamophobic chanting by the Maccabi Tel Aviv fans. From pulling down Palestine flags to beating up passers-by to chanting horrific things about Gaza.

Israel bombed another school housing Palestinian refugees in Gaza. You can hear children screaming.
Western media barely treats these attacks as news anymore.
You have to admire the @WashingtonPost editors, who show unmatched creativity in finding ways not to use the word “invasion” when discussing what Israel is doing to Lebanon right now. 🇱🇧
Prime Minister #NajibMikati estimated the number of internally displaced individuals (IDPs) since the escalation of the Israeli war on #Lebanon to be around one million, with some finding refuge in homes, while 118,000 have been officially registered and distributed across 778 shelter centers.
The number of IDPs has increased in the last two days as Israeli occupation forces issued evacuation orders for #Dahiyeh residents and dropped dozens of airstrikes on the area.
Last Thursday, the number of officially registered IDPs was 77,100, about 40,000 fewer than today, spread across 565 shelters.
I get endless abusive messages on here, deranged replies, and defamatory nonsense. Simply for opposing some of the worst war crimes in generations, and trying my best to counter the endless misinformation about Lebanon and Palestine.
But occasionally someone sends me something nice, and I’m thankful for it.
Just so we are clear: Israel causing thousands of pagers to explode across Lebanon — with zero means of even *pretending* to know who was holding the device at that specific moment, or where they were, or possible collateral damage — is, as you’d expect, a serious war crime.
Curious about how EU citizen participation in the context of the CoFoE relates to the Palestine student encampments? Check out the fantastic conversation we had at @STGEUI on 27 May around my book ‘Democracy without politics in EU citizen participation': https://t.co/z9EfTamvxV
It has been confirmed by Orbán's Ministry of the Interior, that Chinese police will have the right to patrol on Hungary's sovereign territory jointly with Hungarian police.
This is a grave security concern for Hungary, the EU & endangers Chinese dissidents living in our country.
Thailand arrested three Cambodian political activists ahead of of Prime Minister Hun Manet’s first visit to the country later this week. https://t.co/JDe3OIVuZl
It's Christmas time and that can only mean one thing: Orbán Viktor's exclusive holiday interview in local newspapers, the best display of mediapluralism in Hungary.
Here comes the next National Consultation of Orbán's govt.: loaded questions to which only the pre-approved answers can be submitted, giving voters the illusion of a choice & strengthening Fidesz narrative. This will be the 13th time they launched it, since 2011. 🧵(1/4)
