@Badgersssss The lesson plan would be wonderful! We have a meeting of academic support across campus and it was that person from athletics who gave the presentation to everyone
@Badgersssss If you share your slides I love to see them too! Saw a presentation recently by our Athletic dept about how intense their academic tracking is. Would love to get a better idea on how to support them
What are your tips for reading a scholarly article?
I’m presenting a workshop on Getting to Know a Scholarly Article and want to share some of the other tricks people use
@courtbrarian When I send announcements out about what they need to do to prepare for a session I also mention that like all uni buildings, masks need to be worn inside and they need to cover their nose & mouth. Then I repeat myself day of and still have to tell a couple to pull it up
@Badgersssss Im envious of your mandate even with the exemptions. Governor banned them here and we’ve got way low vaccination rates to begin with. I hope your clinics work!
@Badgersssss Probably much more streamlined with fewer committees so fewer volunteers are needed. But then again there are non-tenure track like myself who do volunteer so maybe it won’t be as bad as I think.
I was really upset that homeless people did not have access to the $1,400 stimulus check.
I just found this out. If you are homeless, you can go to a tax return office where they will file something called EIP return. They will put the money on a debit card after.
Retweet.!
hey fyi amazon workers are on strike all of this week. please don’t cross the picket line and don’t make any purchases on amazon prime. you can do curbside pickup at target if you need something quickly / w no contact. ❤️
@CircdeskCircus I love ctrl f! My other favorite one to share with people is that in some programs (I mainly use it Word) ctrl y is redo. It will bring back something you ctrl z’d

capitalising the first letter of every word in your hashtags means that screen reader users like myself can understand what it actually says. instead of a random noise or having each letter read out individually.

@Badgersssss Looks like the June one is only open to members atm. I’ll have to try to remember to look again closer to the conference. And see if I can convince my lib to cover it
