Plenty games play perfectly (if not better) on an emulator, but basically every games plays best on the original platform.

@linkkling Tbf, you can use pretendo on Azahar (or really any citra fork) to play online with other 3ds users

So Azahar + an AYN THOR (or similar dual screen handheld) has gotta be pretty close

...u do need an actual 3ds to get the files you need for pretendo to work tho... so nvm.......
