Despite all these problems, the investigatorsโ hard work ought to be acknowledged, and interpreted as confirming that introduction of the GAP program and use of customised growth charts can result in a reduction in stillbirths and perinatal deaths. 8/8
Another problem to be considered in the interpretation of this study is the control group, which was not able to maintain 'standard care' during the trial, as the NHS England Care Bundle was being implemented, resulting in a 73 % increase in ultrasound scans. 7/8
