@npmichael@kpottermn It was the gleeful smugness that really got me. Nothing like watching a burly white man unmask with a ‘what-are-you-gonna-do-about-it-make-me’ expression in the face of a too-kind flight attendant just trying to do their job - to make my stomach turn…
I’m currently on @Delta flight 2555 to Detroit. People started boarding without masks. Apparently a baby judge in Florida overturned the @TSA mask mandate and it hit the news about 25 minutes ago.
So now half of the flight who is complying with @delta’s stated policy are masked - and we, including the poor, exposed flight attendants - are on a flight with a bunch of unmasked, coughing, celebrating patriots and a smug pilot safe in his cockpit. Great. Awesome.
@nausheena Oh. Tied for cringey: I was telling my team that there were typos on a slide. This was while that slide was being presented to a client. Yikes.
'What is the most post-apocalyptic thing you've ever done?' for 100.
'That time when I took my children to a gutted department store and lined up with thousands of other parents for inoculation against a deadly virus.'
And I would do it again.
@smburns I agree that liberal arts degrees are good for the collective. I just don't think liberal arts degrees are a practical investment for the individual (i.e. anyone who doesn't have a family safety net).
@larsleafblad You can send them my way any time, friend! Our team is frequently hiring + we're lucky to be building a new way of working together that values people, rest, creativity + excellence. We've found ourselves in a position where we are lucky recipients of the great resignation.
