It can be fun to connect the dots in the background, but you should always keep in mind authors want to tell a story first and everything else comes second to that.
I feel like a lot of disillusionment with serial media I see nowadays comes from a lack of connection with the intention of the creator in favor of theorycrafitng and solving the lore of the setting.
I liked Deltarune’s latest chapter. Without giving too much away I’m happy we got to spend some time with the characters I like before the inevitable climax.
As an aside note, Toby is very good at establishing new characters fast so the audience knows what they’re all about.
Yesterday I clicked on a Deltarune recap video to have to story fresh before going into the newest chapter and the way the first seven minutes were Gaster theorycrafting made me roll my eyes. The actual recap was good though.
For all the ups and downs, all the good and bad writing, I can say this ending got me really emotional and more so by reading it on my birthday. I know there's always gonna be more stuff after this, but I choose to have it as my one true farewell.
It's not a dream if it's real.
