On flight #PS752 Justice Belobaba referenced Dr. Bahman Jeldi's report as an expert on #Iran.
Dr. Jeldi, who is an Iranian analyst at the Canadian Center for Persian Studies said that the IRGC purposefully shot down flight 752 with destructive intent in mind.

JUST NOW: President Trump has just made it clear that if Iran cannot or will not control its "highly paid proxies," the U.S. will bypass the regional actors and take the fight directly back to the source.
President Trump Says, “Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

This is disgusting. LYING about executions doesn’t make them not exist. 2 were executed this morning!
Media: The regime continues to kill their own people.
Trump: The majority of that took place during the first and second regimes, much more so than now
As a Chinese professor, I am very grateful for Mr. @mb_ghalibaf's trust in #China. I have always worked, and will continue to work, to deepen China-#Iran relations. I look forward to working with Iranian friends for a better bilateral relationship.
It has been apparent to me for quite a while that Pakistan as a mediator is more than problematic. Their animosity towards Israel is long standing.
It is undeniable that Iranian military aircraft are being housed on Pakistani air bases and past rhetoric from the highest Pakistani officials against Israel is disturbing.
As to the defense minister’s comments about the Abraham Accords, saying that Pakistan would never join because they don’t trust Israel: The clip may be a year old, but I fear the sentiment is fresh.
In that regard, it is imperative that Pakistan give an answer now to President Trump’s call to join the Abraham Accords.
Dear Mr. @realDonaldTrump
The regime in Iran is lying to you and your negotiators (period, stop!). Do not believe a word they say. I know you want to get out of this mess. All Americans want this unnecessary war to end. Keep in mind, as you have been told many times, Iran is still the leading state sponsor of terrorism (all anyone needs to say is Hezbollah, Hamas & Houthis, never mind IRGC-QF). None of these organizations are going away with this deal.
How about getting them to first publicly apologize for killing American Soldiers and U.S. Marines many times over (especially on this Memorial Day weekend). Yes, we are all sick of it.
And yes, the people of Iran must step up, but we need to signal to them, we will not concede their freedoms to the insane regime in Teheran. They deserve better. If we don’t, we will cause an entire population to be enslaved. For this, we have to smartly use our Middle East partners to support them along with our covert and clandestine operators. Trust me, if you support, this is very doable.
Anyway, I’m watching everything (like most of the world is) and admittedly I do not have all the information. But if we pay tribute to the regime to the tune of $25B, I’m concerned they’ll use it for nefarious purposes down the road.
No nukes in Iran may be a noble idea (an end goal for your administration) but the regime has blatantly lied to our faces before, why do you now believe they will tell you the truth?
Give it some thought. Get some out of the box solutions, and rethink your position. The art of the deal tells you to do that from time to time.
Now may be that time.
@POTUS@SecRubio
The Islamic regime in Iran has surrendered and accepted the terms. If it breaks them, it will be broken. Increasingly isolated in the region, Trump called Gulf leaders before making his final decision, a sign that the region is now closer to America than before and will play a role in shaping the next steps. What comes next may be even more dangerous for the regime itself: unrest at home, anger in the streets, and calls for change that could erupt as the war comes to an end.
The region, America, and allies such as NATO and the EU may use this pause to prepare for the next phase, now convinced that this regime’s missiles and drones threaten not only Gulf nations, but also the global economy through the Strait of Hormuz.
In this battle, the regime has suffered heavy losses, its navy, aircraft, leadership, soldiers, economy, and strategic capabilities. If there is a next round, it may not survive it.
According to Iranian and Arab sources Trump agreed to
-compensate Tehran by releasing blocked funds (at least $6 billion)
-lift sanctions
-remove American forces from around Iran (Iranian sources more specifically mention the naval assets in the region)
-lift the blockade
-ceasefire in all fronts including in Lebanon (basically allowing Tehran to rearm its proxy network and help Hizballah reasserts its control in Lebanon)
In exchange for
-gradual reopening of Strait of Hormuz with the transit remaining under Tehran’s management and control
-negotiations over other issues with no hard deadline (the 30-day negotiation window can be extended)
Washington has not denied any of these claims.
This is a total surrender, pretty symbolic if it is announced on Memorial Day.
The American naïveté toward Iran has always exposed a fundamental weakness in U.S. foreign policy, historically and today. This is not a partisan issue, it’s an American one. Those blindly shilling for this proposed deal are not doing so because they possess some greater understanding of the Islamic regime than the general public. They are doing it out of loyalty to President Trump and fear of contradicting him publicly.
This isn’t about Trump. It’s about what is right for America.
The deal as discussed merely pushes an inevitable conflict down the road for someone else to deal with and, just as before, the longer this charade continues, the deadlier the consequences will be.
The fact that White House staff are attacking anyone expressing skepticism toward what increasingly appears to be a historic capitulation to the Islamic regime is not because this is politically or morally correct. It is because they are afraid of offending the boss. That is spineless and it reflects everything wrong with modern partisanship.
When President Trump is right, I have been among the first to defend him. And yes, there is undeniably a problem in the media with “Trump derangement syndrome.” But when some of Trump’s fiercest allies, along with leading experts on the Islamic regime, particularly Iranians who actually understand it firsthand, are sounding the alarm, it is not because they hate him. It is because they understand the nature of the regime and Islamist terror better.
America has always struggled to understand Islamic terrorism because Islamist ideology does not operate according to the logic most Americans instinctively understand. The average American simply does not comprehend decision making rooted in Velayat-e Faqih.
I want President Trump to succeed regardless of party because I love America and want it to be secure and successful. But based on what has been discussed publicly so far, this deal will not accomplish that.
I also love the people of Iran and the people of Israel. This capitulation abandons them too.
Trying to spin a temporary 30 to 60 day pause as a “peace deal” is propaganda. There is nothing peaceful about preserving an IRGC dictatorship that continues to brutalize 92 million people while funding terror across the region.
Mark my words: every concession and every dollar released to the Islamic Republic will eventually be paid for in blood, first in the Middle East, and later in the West as well.
If a deal is struck to end the Iranian conflict because it is believed that the Strait of Hormuz cannot be protected from Iranian terrorism and Iran still possesses the capability to destroy major Gulf oil infrastructure, then Iran will be perceived as being a dominate force requiring a diplomatic solution.
This combination of Iran being perceived as having the ability to terrorize the Strait in perpetuity and the ability the inflict massive damage to Gulf oil infrastructure is a major shift of the balance of power in the region and over time will be a nightmare for Israel.
Also, it makes one wonder why the war started to begin with if these perceptions are accurate. I personally am a skeptic of the idea that Iran cannot be denied the ability to terrorize the Strait and the region cannot protect itself against Iranian military capability.
It is important we get this right.
I am deeply concerned about what we are hearing about an Iran “deal,” being pushed by some voices in the administration.
President Trump’s decision to strike Iran was the most consequential decision of his second term. He was right to do so, and we achieved extraordinary military results—including destroying all of their missiles & drones and sinking their entire navy.
If the result of all that is to be an Iranian regime—still run by Islamists who chant “death to America”—now receiving billions of dollars, being able to enrich uranium & develop nuclear weapons, and having effective control over the Strait of Hormuz, then that outcome would be a disastrous mistake.
The details are still coming out—and I pray the early reports are wrong—but the fact that Biden’s Rob Malley is praising the deal is not encouraging.
President Trump believes in peace through strength, and his strong leadership has already made America much safer. He should continue to hold the line, defend America & enforce the red lines he has repeatedly drawn.
🚨 "An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed..." - President Donald J. Trump
I am deeply concerned about the terrorist attack that took place today.
This is not an isolated incident. It is the latest in a spate of utterly vile attacks on the Jewish community.
I’ve just chaired an emergency COBR meeting and tomorrow I’ll be bringing together criminal justice agencies to ensure we have effective and swift justice.
BREAKING: The U.N. just elected the Islamic Republic of Iran as one of the Vice Presidents of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Review Conference.
Bravo to the U.S., UAE, Australia, UK, France and Germany for objecting.
