Can a #neurotypical explain their definition of a #reason vs an #excuse. When asked why did u do it this way, Im going to explain the process to you, because you asked, but as I start talking you go, I don't want your excuses!

@Perspectivespr1 Happy Friday! I actually just launched my literary novella 'Roses for the Morning' today and it's free for the weekend. If anyone needs a quiet weekend read, you can grab it here:

@Perspectivespr1@BootheJ24458 Quirky, fast-paced, creature-horror that’s proper scary if you’re 8! Great fun if you’re older 🤩 and free to read on KU (and if you do happen to read it I’d appreciate an honest review on Amazon & Goodreads)

When brain refuses to start a task, try the "5-minute fake-out."
Tell yourself you're only doing it for 5 minutes — then actually stop if you want to. The ADHD brain resists starting, not continuing. Once dopamine kicks in from momentum, stopping becomes the harder part. #ADHDTip
The "just start for 2 minutes" rule.
Don't aim to finish the task. Just open it. Just start.
Your ADHD brain resists beginning — not doing. Once you're in, momentum kicks in.
2 minutes. That's all you're committing to.
