@RichmondRCMP This is pretty simple: when you are operating a motor vehicle (which you must be licensed to do), you must not injure or kill people.
Nothing else matters.
@RepClayHiggins He doesn't know how to get anything done, only shoot things down. Politics aside, this is an unwise move for America, and it shows the GOP is caving to the Freedom Caucus. Grow a pair.
@SirSmart@GCSeppKuss Just because someone isn't a shoe-in pick to win any grand tour no matter the course profile does not mean they aren't a GC rider. I appreciate your point, but I disagree. Him being in contention of either Jonas or Primoz' GC spot would have massively changed things
@RaVau_K@medicinexthings I was responding to a point about 'the strongest rider wins', which is really not the case in bike racing. You need to be one of the strongest, sure, but you also need to do the least hard work, and have the most favorable situation, which is why you hire strong teammates.
@Domestique___ I think with a few days time, Primoz comes to see the magic of a team podium sweep and their dedicated super domestique winning red…especially given that their only competition (Remco) had one bad day and dropped out of GC contention. This will be a great memory in retirement
@EscapeCycling This is what the strongest team with a huge budget gets for bringing two overwhelming GC favorites to the race.
This is on management. They follow logic beyond human emotion, and ultimately endurance sports needs humanity and emotion.
@_TheDare@medicinexthings Sepp rode the 4th fastest time EVER up the Angliru...after pacing Primoz and Jonas. I'd hardly say Sepp hasn't earned the right to wear and defend the red jersey.
If Remco doesn't vanish from GC contention earlier in the race, this whole situation is totally different
@julievm_ Give Primoz a chance...see how he interviews in Madrid. Of course emotions are high, these guys dedicate their lives to show up with the fitness and form to perform. Honestly, he can't be bitter about Kuss, because Jonas looks faster anyways.
@medicinexthings@friebos I'm sure he has mixed feelings, but when he is retired and looking back on his career, I think this brings him good emotions. Primoz has benefited from being on a strong team, and the world will certainly remember the story of the Jumbo-Visma 1-2-3
Major respect to Jonas and Primoz...they both came to the Vuelta with amazing form for a heavy GC battle...largely against Remco. When Remco imploded, it really turned the circumstances on their head. Sepp earned the right to take the driver's seat, and proved a worthy leader.
